In addition to the additions of the ONE PIECE FILM GOLD, another new character will join the Straw Hats, and will become a main character: Miranda, Luffy's little sister! Miranda has been living in the orphanage since she was young, and has grown to become a strong person. She has been looking for a chance to prove herself in the world since her childhood, and this movie is her first chance. She holds the power of the World Government's most powerful weapons, and when the World Government rebels against the Straw Hats, she will most likely join their cause.

The ONE PIECE FILM GOLD will debut in Japan on July 23rd 2016, and it will be released on the same date as the general screening in theaters all over Japan. Sadly, there will be no English subtitles. A Japanese online preview was released a few days before the premiere, and it gave us some spoilers for the movie.

The story of the ONE PIECE FILM GOLD is set after the thrilling events of ONE PIECE FILM Z, where Luffy had to face the world of the Whitebeard pirates. Only after Luffy defeats Whitebeard's son, The World Government finally outlaws the Straw Hats, and starts hunting them down. As we all know, Luffy is a huge pain in the ass, and he's always going to go against the law in order to get his way. This time however, he must work with the World Government to find the One Piece and stop The World Government from achieving their goal of ruling the world. While this movie is set after the events of ONE PIECE FILM Z, it is a prequel of the events that will take place in future chapters. As such, the movie will give us hints about the next events of the story.

Even though I will not be attending the premiere, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts regarding the movie, as I have not seen it yet, so please bear with me. I'll save my feelings for other articles.

The movie will feature Kimiyo Hoshi voicing Mama, Katsumi Suzuki voicing Dazushi, Hiroaki Hirata voicing Shuei, Shunsuke Kubota voicing Usopp, Takuma Terashima voicing Robin, Kosuke Natsui voicing Disco, Takahiro Sakurai voicing Nami and Maaya Uchida voicing Luffy. It will also feature the rest of the Straw Hat crew as One Piece Animation League V-Jump characters, with Binbin voiced by Sachiko Saitou, Lawrence voiced by Ryusei Nakao, Clarin voiced by Shoko Nishikawa, Zorome voiced by Kenji Kase, Monkey D. Garp voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, Wapol voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, Bowser voiced by KENN, Bulgarian voiced by Bunbuku and Bounty voiced by Kumiko Yamamoto.
