It was an immense arcade adventure, where you traveled throughout the galaxy in a quest to help free Earth from the evil Ur-Quan. To do this you needed to gain the trust of the other alien species scattered among the stars and add them to your growing fleet, and gain enough resources to keep your ancient alien technology starship up and running.
You play as Leonard and Cletus, two deep south brothers whose prize pig has been stolen (pignapped? Feel free to use your own prime minister joke here) by invading aliens. Using a modified Duke Nukem 3D engine, you have to shoot everything that moves to get the swine back.

----Q/ADo I need a Doom 2 WAD to run this game?Nope! Simply run osiris.exe (just a copy of GZDoom) in the zip, or load the ipk3 into your existing GZDoom. Why is there a copy of GZDoom in the download?I expect people from the Amiga community who aren't necessarily into the Doom modding scene might be playing it, and I wanted to make things easier for them. Please note the included release is for Windows 64-bit - though you can run it on Linux and Mac if you get your own copy of GZDoom and put the ipk3 into it. If you're into Doom mods and running GZDoom already, feel free to just move the ipk3 into your usual place. Be sure to run it as an iwad, it's its own game!Is this a 1:1 remake of the original AB3D?No, lots of things are different either on purpose to hopefully improve the experience for a modern audience, or due to limitations of the engine or my coding ability. Is it finished?Yes! Though I will of course continue to update the game as necessary. I also plan to add more maps from coverdisk demos of the game, but these have a different visual style and different enemies and weapons, so they will take some more time to finish. Look out for these in the future! Can you do Alien Breed 3D 2: The Killing Grounds next?Nah, I was never really a fan of it, so the nostalgia isn't there for me. Sorry!----Thanks to Rayman the Hedgehog, Ozymandias81, Kinsie and DrPyspy for helping me out and/or letting me use stuff they made! Also HUGE shoutouts to John Girvin, whose work on extracting the original AB3D maps was basically vital for this project not to take a million years. There are further credits given inside the .ipk3 and/or during the end credits roll of the game. This is my first Doom engine project and the first time I've released a big project to the world in general. Aside from the awesome help I've gotten this is mostly a solo effort by me, and I'm not a pro at game design or anything like that, so please bear with me if you have any problems!

The geth will advance on you, and you will need to protect both your right and left flanks. Meanwhile Saren will be hovering and moving back and forth, and will unleash withering firepower and eventually rockets on anyone who ventures very far out of cover. When the initial wave of geth is down he will waste little time before summoning another. Again you will need to manage your flanks carefully, keep your squadmates alive, and gradually whittle away the geth. Ideally you'll also get some free moments to concentrate fire on Saren and do him some damage.
One strategy is to alternate between destroying or pushing back the ones on the left, and then the right, and so forth. Meanwhile Saren will be hovering and moving back and forth, and will unleash withering firepower on anyone who ventures very far out of cover. The last adventure ever to be produced by Sierra, and perhaps one of the most controversial both for its themes and unique style of play, Jane Jensen's Gabriel Knight III: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned is the most ambitious installment of the trilogy. Not only did it raise some highly contentious topics years before a certain Dan Brown, such as the possibility of the Holy Grail really being an allegory for the womb of Mary Magdalene, it also sought to reinvent the genre by putting players in direct control of the camera in a fully 3D environment. This feature allowed for an unprecedented amount of free exploration, though the success of the actual implementation is still a question of debate among adventure gamers.
Back in the trench coat, fedora, and gumshoes of the titular detective, you must decide: will you be a jaded, cynical PI or will you play nice and be a gentleman? How will you treat the various women that gravitate around Tex? And what about Chelsee? Will you be faithful to your blossoming romance with her? Will you answer the phone or will you pretend to be outside? The many options present a deeply engrossing and incredibly rewarding experience. Penned once again by Chris Jones and Aaron Conners, this sprawling masterpiece about a government conspiracy concealing aliens allows you to role-play Tex as you like, and every finale is definitely worth exploring. Add to the mix some challenging puzzles, a vast live-action cast brought to life by some great performances, dozens of 3D locales full of nooks and crannies you can thoroughly explore, and The Pandora Directive did what seemed impossible only two years earlier: it beat its own accomplished predecessor at its own game. 2b1af7f3a8
